Morning Star Foods who is now owned and operated by Saputo USA, was once owned by “A Dean Food Company”. Forcum/Mackey was approached by A Dean Food Company to build a new 5,644 square foot, 2 story building and remodel their existing 1,395 square foot, lab. Working around multi-shifts as to not interrupt production during the lab remodel, the new two story building and lab was completed in the early 2000.
When A Dean Food Company sold Morning Star Foods to Saputo USA, the executive management at Saputo have kept on going relationship to date with Forcum/Mackey. We continue to make improvements and expansions at their four Tulare plants.
Saputo ranks among the top three cheese producers in the USA, and is one of the largest producers of extended shelf-life (“ESL”) and cultured dairy products , including creams and creamers, ice cream mixes, whipping cream, aerosol whipped toppings, iced coffee, half and half, value-added milks, sour cream and cottage cheese. Not only do they distribute across the nation, they support their local community and supply to business throughout the Central Valley.
